The distinctive feature of TM47 machine is the backward-driven second arm (Ferri’s international patent), which, in combination with the rear mounted flail head, offers a number of advantages: - working behind the wheel, something that so far had been possible with hedgecutters provided of top mounted flail heads only. No other machine of this class can perform this operation; - working flush with the wheel (in a vertical position), either all down or all up, so that the tractor can graze the hedge and take up just a little section of the carriageway.
